The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the District of Columbia is a nonprofit [501(c)(3)] hereditary organization with the following objectives and purposes:

Our Objectives & Purposes

Promote

-To keep alive the memory of our Pilgrim Ancestors who were passengers on the Mayflower and landed at Plymouth, New England in December 1620.

Preserve

-To collect, keep, and protect books and other materials on Pilgrim history, genealogies, and family histories.

Protect

-To maintain a library to safeguard records and to make some available for educational and historical purposes.

Publish

-To publish and distribute pertinent genealogies, registers, histories, and other material in accordance with the educational aims of this Society.
